From Dog Bones to Birthday Cakes: How The Pet Snackery Spoils Boston’s Pets

The Pet Snackery: Wholesome Treats, Crafted with Love and Laughter

If you’ve ever attended a dog event in Boston, chances are you’ve seen the purple chef hat and paw print sign featuring The Pet Snackery. But what you might not know that behind that adorable logo is more than just dog treats—The Pet Snackery is a beloved fixture for pet parents who want the best for their furry family members. Founded by Cassi Hradysky, this family-run business offers all-natural, small-batch snacks for dogs and cats, crafted with transparency, care, and a touch of creativity.

Cassi’s treats are healthy and delicious— and her business is bringing people together to celebrate pets and the joy they add to our lives.

From Crunches to Connections: How The Pet Snackery Began

The Pet Snackery started on a whim. “I was a new mom struggling with PPD, so when this idea showed me that there was light at the end of the tunnel, I took it and ran fast.” Cassi started researching markets and pop-ups so that she could get dates on the books right away. Cassi’s senior dog, Carly, and her playful cat, Chaplin weren’t sad about it either! Inspired by their happiness during treat time, Cassi began experimenting with recipes to create healthy snacks. “There’s nothing quite like the sound of their satisfied crunches,” she says, reflecting on the simple joy that sparked her journey.

What began as a passion project has grown into a thriving business with a loyal following of Boston’s pet parents. Cassi’s commitment to quality and her personal touch have made The Pet Snackery a trusted name in the community. “After I booked my first market, I started to perfect my creations. Now I have made so many new friends and connections and I'm loving every minute of it. Which is weird coming from an introvert!”

Personalized Treats for Every Occasion

What truly sets The Pet Snackery apart is its ability to customize treats for pets and local businesses alike. Cassi crafts personalized peanut butter bones (you may have seen her signature Boston Dog Moms bones at our pop-up events!) and even creates custom cakes for birthdays and special occasions.

Her personalized touch doesn’t stop there. Cassi works with local businesses to design branded treats that double as adorable and effective promotional items. From dog bones featuring a company’s logo or business name to birthday cakes topped with a pup’s name, her creations make every pet feel special.

Whether it’s a custom cake for Grizzy’s big day or branded snacks for a small business, Cassi’s attention to detail and creativity shine through in every bite.

A Familiar Face in the Community

Cassi is a regular at Boston’s dog-friendly events, from markets to fundraisers. She’s often spotted at Peter’s Park, chatting with pet parents and spreading smiles under her business tent. Her warmth and humor make her a joy to meet—whether she’s selling treats or simply showing up to support others.

Her involvement with the Boston Dog Moms community goes beyond her business. Both Cassi and her husband, Roman, played an active role in our National Dog Day Fundraiser, contributing prizes and helping make the event a success. Their commitment to supporting local businesses and rescue efforts exemplifies their dedication to the pet-loving community.

Treats That Speak for Themselves

The Pet Snackery’s menu includes everything from Chicken Coconut Macaroons to cat-friendly Tuna Coconut Catnip Macaroons. Each treat is made with human-grade, all-natural ingredients, ensuring they’re both safe and delicious.

Chaplin loves Matatabi Sticks, while Carly never says no to Chicken Pupcorn. For pet parents looking to spoil their furry companions, there’s something for every taste and dietary need.

“We believe in complete transparency, so you always know what goes into each and every snack,” Cassi shares. This commitment has earned her a devoted following of pet parents who trust her treats for their fur babies.

The Heart Behind the Brand

Cassi’s quick wit and dry humor are part of what makes her so beloved in the community. She has a knack for making people laugh and feel comfortable, which is why so many customers and business owners in the community become friends.

Her husband, Roman, is not just her biggest cheerleader but a fellow entrepreneur in the pet space. Together, they embody teamwork, balancing family life, their businesses, and their shared love for pets. Their partnership is an inspiration to anyone pursuing their passions.

Dreaming Big, Staying Grounded

Looking ahead, Cassi dreams of opening a brick-and-mortar shop with an open kitchen where customers can watch treats being made fresh. For now, she’s focused on expanding her offerings, connecting with the community at events, and continuing to craft new recipes that pets will love.
